My natural health journey and it is my mission to help you get quicker results. Welcome to my blog, it is my sincere hope that you will be inspired by the information I have to share with you. I will be sharing my journey back to health as well as tips and tricks that will shorten your journey. It is our personal responsibility to take the best care possible of our body. I always say we have to do regular maintenance. Then an extra good tune-up spring and fall. This theory has served me well after I spent the effort to get my health back on track.
My Story
I was raised on a farm in Colorado and grew up helping a lot on the farm, some being heavy work for a girl. Work needed done so being the tomboy and the oldest it was up to me to help. I can remember even in grade school my back hurting a lot but never complained.
I left home right after finishing high school and moved to a bigger town. I got a job and one day at work I was on a short ladder and fell over backwards. I was OK so dusted myself off and finished out my day.
The next morning I could not even get out of bed without help. My roommate worked for a chiropractor so she got me in the car and took me in. He worked on me and I took the day off. The pain wasn’t totally gone but it was tolerable. I tried creams, ice, heat and any other things people suggested and it finally got some better. The chiropractor did take x-rays and nothing was broken.
As time went by I would have times it was really bad but I still just put up with it. I began to find that eating certain foods pain would be worse. Through trial and error I started to stop eating the things that seemed to make my pain worse. Wouldn’t you know it they were foods I really liked. I did try some stretches and walked to work daily which did keep the muscles relaxed.
Looking for anything to help I went to the library and found some books on nutrition. This was many years ago so didn’t have the internet with the wealth of information we have today. After researching lots of information I finally decided on some mineral and vitamin supplements to see if my back would get better. I did have some success with these but pain was still there most of the time just not as intense.
The Game Changer For Me
It was not until I discovered quality natural herbs and a very strict diet of lots of fresh vegetables, small amount of meat and few grains that I finally was able to say my back did not hurt 24/7. This was not a quick fix and it took time to regain my health and my back totally quit hurting. I can truthfully say I am in better health today than I was in my twenties.
It has been a long journey for me but I am so thankful to feel so good. I keep my diet good and still take supplements. One other thing, if you stray off the path to far your body will remind you that it does not like what you are doing. Everyone is going to try this a few times before it sinks in to avoid certain foods that make you feel worse. I feel we need to take a holistic approach to reach our goals.
My Mission
My mission to help educate people to take responsibility for their own health and how to gaining better health and happiness. I have been in the nutrition and education field for many years so have much to share. I am still learning everyday of the latest research and new health products coming on the market to support our body.
It is our responsibility for ourselves to seek out the many modalities of natural healing and find the ones that work best for each individual. I believe that each of us will have to chose a variety of things as no one modality will get you the desired outcome.
I will address many different ways to approach natural health and wellness. We can work together to put your emergency first aid kit together and also special products that should be in everyone’s medicine cabinet. There is also the issue of chemicals that are in our home that we should remove to make your home toxin free.
I hope you will follow along and pick up bits of information that will help you with any issues you may have and together we can all have better health and wellness. My mission is to provide you with valuable information to help you on your journey to a healthier and longer life.
