For me holding the book gives me a connection to the information I am reading. If you saw my house you would know I am a BIG fan of written information. I have books that I use for research, many are courses, cookbooks, health books, and pleasure reading as well.
Nutritional Books Are Key To Learning And Understanding
It is important for us to keep learning and improving our life from the knowledge we can only get and retain from the written words. Reading is the eye/brain connect to retain the information. I always know if I need to read it again I can always go back and refresh my memory if needed.
Now to my real passion and that is improving health on a daily basis. So first we need to learn what foods are best for us. Then we must figure out the right foods to keep our organs working perfectly. This is not the same for everyone so sometimes it takes a bit of juggling to get it right. We all have different weakness that need to be strengthen to obtain optimal health. Then our likes and dislikes come into play but be adventurous and try some new things.
Since we live in the modern world with an abundance of convenient foods everywhere we need to ask ourselves. What are all these things on the label that I can not pronounce, let alone know what chemical it is? Then my second question is why would I want to eat something that I don’t know what it is? My theory is try not to use any pre-mixed foods and eat real natural foods. When foods are process additives are always in them to keep them fresh longer. We really don’t even know what is in them and we DO NOT need them. There are still some issues with fresh produce but at least it narrows it down a bit.
Avoid as Many Toxins As Possible
The less toxins we ingest the healthier we will be. We must avoid artificial sweeteners at all cost. It will create a health problem and especially if you use it daily. High fructose corn syrup is another ingredient that cause problems. This causes the pancreas to put out excess insulin and in time becomes a major health issue.
It is important for all of us to eat as close to nature as possible and this is easier than you think . Even if you live in the city you can grow herbs in water in the kitchen window. You can even have edible plants on the patio, balcony or deck in containers.
Farmers markets are also a great way to get premium produce to your table and most of these will be organic. If you are lucky enough to have a small patch of ground you can grow a lot of fresh produce. You can pick them fresh to enhance your dinner table. Herbs are a wealth of nutrition, minerals, trace minerals and vitamins, and most are very easy to grow. Many of the cooking and garnish herbs you can cut every few days.
