Quality Herb and Supplements is a Must
If you are buying herbs it is important that to chose a company that has good quality control. Herbs need tested for potency, heavy metals, pesticides, and other toxic materials that may be in the raw material. You should ask for quality control information, if they can’t supply it then you can be assured that they have none or they do not process their own products. They should be able to give you this information or what company does process their products. Quality herbs are a must to restore balance to our bodies and maintain good health.

Pure Herbs And Supplements
Herb were put on earth for our food and our medicine. Fresh herbs like mint, chives, thyme, lavender, basil, rosemary, and parsley are easy to add to foods. Oregano, dill, sage, bay leaf, lemongrass, cilantro, marjoram and lemon thyme are some of the most common herbs used in cooking. They add an abundance of nutrition and flavor.
Most of these are also easy to grow in your garden or even in pots so you can use them fresh year around. I just saw a great idea for planting a herb garden, they used concrete block and planted different herbs in each hole. Looks like it would work great as then no weeds and they are contained in there own space.
There are many herbs used for medicinal purposes that are not grown in this country so these are imported and processed into supplements. It is a must to buy from a company that do their own testing and have strict quality control.
We do not have control over how these herbs are grown so if you plan to take herbal products to gain better health and overall wellness you must choose quality supplements.
As time goes we will look at many of these herbs on our journey as we address issues like stress, hormones, glands, moods, pain, muscles, structure and much more. Follow along and if you have questions contact me I will do my best to help.
Nutritional Supplements
There are many different categories that fall under the broad heading of nutritional supplements. There are herbs, minerals, vitamins, hormones, extracts of all kinds, mushrooms, and foods we eat daily. The same supplements are not always good for every individual so we use different kinds of nutrition for different issues.
Some supplements only are needed on a short term basis but then some are best taken daily to support good health and nutrition. I will be going over each supplement and it’s benefits as we go along. The goal is to provide you with valuable information so you can make wiser choices to gain and maintain a much better life.
You can take a recipe and then add extra herbs, essential oils, or extracts to add extra nutrition and flavor. Many of the herbs can be mixed as well to make an even tastier and nutritional dish.
Food Combinations
Foods should also be combined properly to improve digestion and thus you can absorb more nutrition from each meal. There are many different ideas out there but by working with people for many years it is best to keep it simple. You won’t feel that you can not eat most of the foods your enjoy. Sometimes we have to leave out foods if there are intolerances that are causing problems.
Eat For Your Blood Type
I also love the book “Eat For Your Blood Type” it helps us understand why some foods don’t digest well or gives us another reaction. It will help you narrow down the right foods for your blood type. Great idea too to get your blood typed and carry it with you in case of emergency. This book also explains why some people really don’t like meats and others absolutely need it.
Take a look at this book and see what you think. When I first found it I was sure I could prove it wrong. I gave it 100% for 30 days and weighted 3x a day. I lost 10# during the month and felt better. I love potatoes and they are not on my list so potatoes were the first thing I ate after 30 days and put on 5# ( of water) in 1 day. This is a food intolerance reaction. Try it and let me know if it helps you.
Minerals
Mineral are the building blocks for our entire body. Some minerals need to be taken in larger amounts but the key is we need to maintain balance of our electrolytes. Trace minerals are also important but only in small amounts usually. I like to see people take a combination of both major and trace mineral. We can not depend on getting the right amount of minerals from our food because the soil is depleted.
Magnesium
All minerals are drastically important so as time goes they will be addressed one by one and in depth so you will understand those most crucial. It is very important what minerals are needed by certain organs. The requirements of minerals for men and women also are different as well as health conditions. Magnesium being my all time favorite as it supports our bodies in so many ways. It is estimated that about 80% of the population is low in magnesium. Stress will use up magnesium quickly leaving calcium out of solution leading to dis-ease in the body.
Vitamins
A complete multiple vitamin helps us to get better nutrition when our diet is not the best. With our fast way of life we all find that many times you just grab something on the run. My theory is try hard to eat good 5 days a week. If you eat out or are on the run choose wisely but if not it is your treat for the week.
It is best to chose a good multiply vitamin with 100mg of all B vitamins as it is very helpful to support the nervous system. A quality mega mineral supplement is a must and it also must contain trace minerals. You will usually have to add extra if you are trying to repair or alter a health issue. Even though we all try hard to eat good there are times it just is not possible. The soil our food is grown in today is depleted of many nutrients especially minerals.
Vitamin B’s and C
Because of stress it is best to always have 100mg of all the B vitamins to support the nervous system. Many doctors are now testing for nutritional deficiencies so that is always a good choice for you to ask for. Studies have found that many people are low in B12, B6, and Folic. This combination helps supports the cardiovascular system and control the homocysteine levels.
Vitamin C with bioflavonoids is my next suggestion as it help the immune system. It also strengthening the capillaries to prevent bruising and strokes. Our main objective is to support vital organs and prevent deficiencies so we can all live a long healthy life.
