Amazing Mighty Powerful Potassium is very important to health as it is the 3rd most abundant mineral in the human body. It is responsible for muscle function, regulation of fluids in the body, nerve conduction and heart function. Most of the potassium is found in the muscles and so if you are deficient some of the issues you might notice are muscle cramps or spasms, weakness in muscles and even sometimes pain in muscles. If you have any of these you can relate to the problems. I find if I over stress my muscles then I am more likely to have cramps at night.
We take a herbal potassium supplement that is high in minerals and it helps me to avoid cramps. If you are in an area that has a high salt content in the water you may require more potassium to balance out the sodium you take in daily. You may have to supplement with more potassium as it causes some people’s heart rate to go up and blood pressure to go down. It is also one of the key minerals in electrolytes and we must keep them balanced as they conduct the nerve signals for vital organs to function properly.
